When do we start aging? With the first wrinkles, the first gray hair?

Some scientists believe that our aging begins after puberty. Certainly a plausible consideration. However, if you take it very precisely, you can actually discover the first sign of aging even in younger years. When we are 20, for example, our musculoskeletal system is no longer as flexible and elastic as it was in childhood. In gymnastics athletes are therefore “old” even before their 20th birthday.

Aging is an individual process

This means that everyone ages according to their individual lifestyle. You may notice this when you meet your former schoolmates. For example, a 40 year old woman who has a lot of stress, sits a lot and eats fast food will be very different from a 40 year old woman who sleeps enough, eats properly and does a lot of sport. And not just how she looks.

Start anti-aging earlier

The fact that we are so intensively concerned with the question of the beginning of aging processes is not just to get a closer look at the phenomenon of aging. It also has very tangible, concrete reasons. Because of these connections, we have to say goodbye to a widespread misconception: the idea that in practice aging intervention is primarily for the elderly. The opposite is true: the earlier we start the fight against aging, the better our chances of success. This does not mean that it is hopeless in old age. Influencing aging processes is possible even into old age. But your chances of looking younger and especially perform as a younger will never be as good as if you started at the best possible time: now!
